Meet KK

My name is Kristen Kelly, better known as "KK" by my peers in the education field. I've been in the profession for over 15 years after receiving my degree in Integrated Math Education from Ohio University (Go Bobcats!). I enjoyed nine years in the high school math classroom teaching everthing from Algebra I to AP Calculus AB, as well as the AVID elective course. I taught in a "small school" setting, and had the chance to learn a variety of instructional models along the way.

After becoming a mother, I left the classroom to service students through the role of Mastery Learning Specialist for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. In this role, I had the chance to support teachers and school leaders as they designed new high schools with a focus on personalization and mastery learning. After three years in this role, I made the jump to school leadership myself and served as the proud principal at John Adams College & Career Academy for three years.

Most recently I have relocated to Dayton, OH to serve as the Coordinator of Secondary Curriculum for Xenia Community Schools.

During the past 15 years, I have enjoyed absorbing all there as been to offer in professional development and training, and have met some AMAZING educators along the way. Starting KK Education Solutions was a way to bring all of this full circle and support fellow school leaders and educators as we all work towards the common goal of seeing our students succeed!
